Sister and relative of ancestor varieties cultivated in the Andean highlands. We can imagine how this unique variety originally grew on the famous Inca cultivation terraces.
Since the end of the 16th century, in the fertile low plains of Nalón, Narcea and Navia, farmers cared for, crossed and improved year after year its brilliant size and its incomparable creamy and flavor properties. In this way it has become one of the most sought-after and appreciated bean varieties nationwide.
Due to its great popularity and the increase in its consumption, currently national production is not capable of supplying the market, for this reason and returning to its origins, this type of Faba has been cultivated again in Bolivia, also being of great quality. and helping to ensure that this delicacy is not lacking anywhere in our geography.
